I really appreciated the comment on my first Elevator Pitch because I hadn't even thought of how I would keep products uncontaminated behind the scenes. Luckily, someone pointed this out and I decided to add this to my new Elevator Pitch.
I decided, after realizing I had missed this detail, that I should explain my company in more detail in general, not just behind the scenes, in the kitchen, but also a more in-depth description of how a customer would go through my bakeries experience. I added what the store would look like coming in from the front, never having been there, and what my bakery would look like in the back, in the kitchen.
Hi Maxine! I love your idea! So many people struggle with dietary restrictions today and I know this would make a great impact in people's lives. In terms of your pitch, I thought you articulated your idea very clearly and concisely, so great job! Something I would suggest would be to eliminate "filler" words such as "um" or "like." These can distract from your pitch. Otherwise, awesome post! My business has to do with health as well, but is a little different. Check it out here: http://morganjohnsonblog.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteMaxine,
ReplyDeleteI really love your concept and attention to detail! You sell your idea well and I agree with you that while other cities have similar shops, Gainesville/UF does not. If you were to open, even though I do not have any special dietary restrictions, I would still visit your shop for a healthy treat!
If you would like to check out my pitch as well, here is the link: http://marissaent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2-2-bus-y-4-u.html
Best of luck!

Hey Maxine! I think your idea is great! I think you explained your product very well. The only thing I would make sure is drawn to your attention is cost. It is going to cost a lot of have multiple items for all the different dietary restrictions. You may also want to think about price of these goods.
